Lakewood "Modern" Farmhouse

Lakewood Modern Masterpiece

Merriam Park Charmer Totally Renovated 


As we both grew up in Lake Highlands we love restoring homes in this particular neighborhood. One of our favorite restorations was this 1970s rancher in renowned Merriam Park Elementary's Rolling Trails. This 3600sft home was gutted to the studs, re-configured and restored with a Traditional flare. From its 4 inch white oak poly sealed floors to its shiplap wrapped dining room to the plumbing fixture floating shelves, no detail was left unnoticed.


Lake Highlands Traditional Reborn 


Restoring this Lake Highlands traditional that feeds into Merriman Park Elementary was a super fun project for PCH. We gutted the entire home and re-worked the home from the studs up. From the wood ceiling in the dining room to the cozy built in breakfast nook to the barn door on the game room we had fun designing and finishing this home at each and every step. We are so happy that it went to a family that can enjoy it for years to come. 



Lake Highlands Ranch Meets 2016


In terms of a remodel, Garwood was quite a challenge. When we purchased the home there was absolutely nothing left. It was a shell. The floors were totally removed with exposed floor joists looking unto the ground, all of the electrical was ripped out, the plumbing was not functioning, and there was no furnace, hvac, or water heater. We lovingly put this home back together re-working the floor plan, creating a master suite with master tub inside the walk in shower, and giving the home a massive open kitchen to the family room. While Garwood was quite the project it was truly rewarding hearing all of the positive neighborhood commentary and seeing the home sold to a wonderful LH family who can can enjoy it for years to come. 



Throughout the years we have completed countless projects and are of course not able to showcase each and every home (though we wish we could!). We try and rotate out the homes we are working on, or those which are recently completed and/or are available.
